Setting Up Your Home Office

Fix your desk posture with these easy instructions

With more of our patients working from home due to the Covid-19 pandemic & restricted travelling, we’re seeing a lot more complaints of neck stiffness, headaches, back pain and hip aches. A lot of these issues are arising because of the way we’re sitting at our desk at home. Unfortunately, your body isn’t designed to be at the kitchen bench, dining table, sitting on the lounge, or even lying in bed for hours on end, without the inevitable muscle tension and joint stiffness building up.

Fear not! I have something that can help. Click on the link below to download an info sheet which outlines all the different factors you need to consider while sitting at your desk. From the height of your monitor, placement of your mouse, and how tall your chair should be (plus a few more you probably wouldn’t think of).

Remember, this is a guide for how to best set up your workstation. If you’re already experiencing stiffness and pains, we recommend making an appointment to get it assessed and minimise the chance of it getting worse.

Stay safe!
