Chiropractic Treatments & Shockwave Therapy

Chiropractic care focuses on improving the function of your spine and nervous system to help your body perform at its best. When your spine is properly aligned, it allows your body to move freely, reduces pain, and boosts overall health. Think of your spine as the foundation for your entire body – when it’s in the right place, everything else works better.

In addition to spinal adjustments, we also use shockwave therapy, a deep-tissue treatment that aims to reduce pain, promote healing, and speed up recovery. This advanced therapy works alongside our other treatments to ensure you’re not just getting temporary relief, but lasting improvement in your overall health.

What to Expect During Your Chiropractic Consultation

Each consultation lasts up to 30 minutes (with extended consults available if required) and is focused on getting you the relief and care you need.

At your first appointment, we’ll do a thorough review of your medical history followed by both a neurological and orthopaedic assessment.

Our findings from these assessments help us get to the root cause of all of your symptoms. We then explain what’s causing your symptoms and your current condition. After this, we begin hands-on treatment tailored to help reduce your specific symptoms and achieve your wellness goals. We want to get you feeling better as soon as possible while ensuring we provide the correct treatment for you.

If necessary, you may be referred for an X-ray or further imaging to help with your diagnosis.

During your Chiropractic treatment, we may use any or all of these techniques to help you feel better:

Gentle spinal adjustments

Adjustments to your spine that help restore proper alignment and function, reducing discomfort.

Shockwave therapy

This non-invasive treatment promotes healing by targeting deep tissue to relieve pain and encourage tissue repair.

Dry needling

A technique that targets trigger points and tight muscles to help reduce pain and improve mobility.

Joint release

A method used to relieve stiffness and restore proper joint movement.

Stretching

Tailored stretches that improve flexibility and reduce muscle tightness.

Exercise therapy

Custom exercises designed to strengthen muscles and prevent future injuries.

articulation & mobilisation

These techniques gently move your joints to improve their range of motion and function.

Deep tissue massage release

Helps release muscle tension, increase circulation, and improve flexibility.

At the end of your consult, we’ll talk about how to manage your symptoms, improve your lifestyle and prescribe exercises to strengthen weak spots.

Our clients get the best results from our treatments when they commit to making changes outside of the clinic too!

FAQ

Does Chiropractic care hurt?

A. Most people feel a sense of relief after a Chiropractic adjustment, although it’s normal to feel some mild discomfort or soreness afterwards, especially if your body is adjusting to a new alignment. Any discomfort should be short-lived, and we’ll work with you to ensure your treatments are as comfortable as possible.

How often will I need Chiropractic appointments?

A. The frequency of your visits depends on your individual condition and goals. Some people benefit from weekly visits, while others may only need to come in once a month. Your Chiropractor will recommend a treatment plan tailored to your needs and guide you through the process.

Will Chiropractic adjustments help with my pain?

A. Chiropractic adjustments are designed to address the underlying causes of pain by realigning your spine and improving nervous system function. Whether you’re dealing with back, neck, joint pain, or headaches, Chiropractic care may help reduce pain and improve mobility.

Is Chiropractic care safe?

A. Chiropractic care is generally safe when administered by a qualified practitioner. However, as with all treatments, there are potential risks and side effects. Talk to your practitioner if you have any concerns. Chiropractic treatment may help you manage a range of musculoskeletal conditions, as well as musculoskeletal aspects of non-musculoskeletal conditions.

Do I need a GP referral to see a Chiropractor?

A. No, you don’t need a referral to see one of our Chiropractors. You can book an appointment directly, and we’ll take care of the rest!
