What we Do

Physiotherapy

Physiotherapy is a form of manual therapy that combines exercise therapy with manual therapy to provide a complete treatment plan for many sporting injuries and general pain and dysfunction.  Physiotherapy is traditionally associated with professional sporting teams, however we believe that physiotherapy is essential to normal body movement patterns and living life pain free.

frequently asked questions

What Happens In a Physiotherapy Appointment?

Our Physiotherapists at Health House Clinics are professionally trained to assess and treat your pain and dysfunction that is affecting everyday activities or ability to play sports.  Your initial consultation will involve the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of disorders of the spine and limbs of your body and the effects of those disorders on your general health. Physiotherapy treatment technique involves, manual therapy including manipulation of the spine and other joints, soft tissue releases and massage, exercise prescription and dietary and healthy lifestyle advice and recommendations.

How do Physiotherapists Treat?

Your initial consultation will involve a thorough medical history followed by both neurological and/or orthopaedic assessment.  This is to reproduce your familiar pain and determine the cause of your symptoms.  This will be followed by an explanation of your symptoms and relation of your symptoms to your condition.  Treatment is then administered immediately to remove the pain causing factors and establish a normal functioning body so that you can get back to the things you enjoy doing.

When is Physiotherapy appropriate?

Physiotherapy is appropriate for every person of every age, but more importantly, the sooner our physiotherapists can see you, the easier it is to fix your injury and guarantee the best outcomes, and the faster you will return to living a pain free life.  At Health House Clinics, we believe that physiotherapy plays an essential part of everyday healthy living and a regular physiotherapy check up can correct dysfunction before it becomes a debilitating injury.  Prevention is much better than a cure.  Call us on 9524 8862 today to find out how we can help you.
