What we Do

Miranda Massage therapy

Miranda massage therapy is an integral component in maintaining pain free movements in our day to day life. A lot of us spend way too many hours behind a computer, looking at our phones and not stretching enough to keep our muscles relaxed and joints moving.

If left un-checked, this can start to cause every day aches and pains that we end up perceiving as ‘normal’. The headaches, lower back pain, neck stiffness and hip tightness are all common complaints we see in clinic and which responds so well with remedial massage therapy.

Our Miranda massage therapist work closely with our chiropractors and Pilates instructors to accurately identify your areas of concern and effectively treat stiff fascia, trigger points and general tension. You book with assurance knowing any massage therapist you choose is fully qualified and is recognised by all health funds so you can claim immediately through our HICAPS terminal.

If you don't see your question below, please feel free to give us a call on 9524 8862

Q. CAN I USE MY HEALTH FUND?

A. Yes you can. All of our massage therapists are qualified and have their individual provider numbers recognised by health funds. We have a HICAPS terminal onsite which allows you to easily access your rebate from most health funds.

Q. HOW LONG DOES THE SESSION GO FOR?

A. We offer 3 massage therapy consult times. 30, 60 and 90 minutes can be be easily booked online via the blue button links above and below. For your first appointment we recommend selecting the 60 minute Initial Consultation appointment to allow your therapist time for questions and assessment before treating.

Q: HOW MUCH IS A CONSULTATION?

A: Your initial consultation will go for 60 minutes and will be $110. We have the HICAPS terminal on site so we can get your health fund rebate prior to paying, so you only pay whatever the gap is left over.

Q; WHAT TYPE OF TREATMENT CAN I EXPECT?

A: All our therapists are well trained in using hand on techniques to release fascia, and muscles. Our therapists can also use other techniques such as dry needling or blading if requested.

Q: WILL IT BE PAINFUL?

A: When releasing tension in muscles or fascia, it can be uncomfortable. Everyone has different pain thresholds and our therapists ensure they are able to effectively release tension/trigger points without it being painful. If you are more sensitive to deep tissue massage, feel free to let your therapist know and they can adjust the pressure they apply accordingly.

Q: DO WE TREAT PREGNANT WOMEN?

A: Absolutely. We have a big portion of our patients who continue massage therapy with us until the final days of their pregnancy. Your body changes so much in such a short time so it is quite normal to feel back pain, neck stiffness, wrist swelling, foot pain, and other common areas of pain we treat.

Q: DO YOU TREAT ATHLETES?

A: Yes! We treat everybody. Being in the heart of such an active community we treat professional and semi-professional athletes during their season, off-season and the dreaded pre-season.
